Was it just me or was the no passing, follow the leader race, boring! What do you need 500 miles for, if the only racing is the last lap!

Not every race can be great. Just like at our local short tracks...for every good race there is usually 3 not so good ones. I think with some adjustments, though, the Gen-6 car will put on a great show at the superspeedways.

The commentating on television was unbearable, if the race was interesting it might have helped. I'm just going to listen to MRN from now on

The TV announcers lied throughout the whole race, it was boring. Much like watching an NBA game. Nothing really happened until the very end.

did seem like Johnson backed up the bottom, like it was slower, then went when the checker was in sight. good strategy if that is what happened, I just think that the new car and restrictor races don't have much to offer, only passing was in the pit stops, not to exciting for nascars premier race.

They call it the Superbowl, think maybe the Sleeperbowl! These guys will figure the car out and make it fast, It is just a little different. I was waiting for Harvick and Stewart to show us what they did with side air, but they didn't get to run!

So what has changed in ten years...it's plate racing. I'll give NASCAR the benefit that it was the first race for this new gen platform. We were there for one practice two weeks ago and they wouldn't even dare pack up all day, at least they ran side by side for the race.

I run side by side, wheel to wheel at speeds approaching 70 MPH each and every day. My commute was more exciting than the race.

What the hey?? they DID THAT? THAT is dispicable!! Know that we did'nt miss a thing, never watched anything after the twins, though now I know why so many folks came to Lincoln 500 sled races !! Perhaps there is a trend, you know, falling asleep to the commercials, of the Super Bowl, the 500,etc. Why did they fib to you? Will someone press charges? Whom won?Did anyone else get lied too? Who was babbling, do they have a contract year coming up? What else was on the bad news box that day? Lately, my time has become much to valuable to watch clone, er clown, cars, parade around a big ole track at half speed, ok, 3/4 speed!!!!!???

I AGREE, years ago, after benny parsons left and JAWS took over, i would listen to MRN radio and turn the volume down on the tV,,,

then MRN went to a 2 to 3 minute time delay,,so that was no good

but now No MRN locally,,,Sooo,,

for this years 500 i had MRN radio on my lap top with the tv on mute,,MRN was about several seconds ahead of the TV delay,,worked great!!

link and steaming broadcst schedule

http://www.motorraci...m-Calendar.aspx

From now on I will listen to Nascar races on MRN radio on my lap top and watch the race on tv with the MUTE on,,NO MORE DW and Mcreynolds!!
