I have an 04 sebring with the 2.4l 4 cyl with I think the dohc. It blew out the threads to number 3 cylinder spark plug. I had a helicoil installed but the car still missed on that cylinder. The mechanic that I took it to has pulled the head and determined that the heliciol wasn't long enough for the plug and believes I need a different head to solve the problem. I hate to put another used head on just to have the same problem taking out the threads on the plug. Do you guys think I should get a new head or is it fine to use a used head? Are these engines known to have these problems?
