I always ran steel, but aluminum ones should work. Just make sure you have quality studs.
I tried running cheaper 3/8ths studs one time because that's what I had laying around, and they broke on me.
I bought the most expensive 3/8th studs I could find, and they didn't break.
I prefer to run the bigger 7/16ths.
Also check to make sure the retainers don't hit the bottom of the rocker arms, and check for coil bind.
Roller cams need roller cam springs also.

those are very marginal for a roller cam deal, i have seen many actually bow in the middle. The crane Gold is much stronger rocker arm, i would want a 7/16 stud and would still use a stud girdle. I prefer crower or comp stainless but i know not everyone has a budget for those.
