The weather forecast was right on the mark! Scattered showers off and on until 6 PM and then no problem!
Stephen Emmans (Sportsmen), Aaron Zimmerman (Mini Stocks), Todd Roberts (Mini Thunder Cars), Raymond Bakerman (Hornets) and Sam Longenbaur (Karts) picked up feature wins on double points night!
Emmans and Brice Smith switched cars between the heat and feature and Emmans went home with 5th feature win of the season!
Bobby Schlistler III was 2nd and Smith 3rd.
Schlistler won the heat over Smith and Emmans.
Daniel Foulk crossed the finish line first but was dqed for illegal tires and Zimmerman picked up his 4th feature win of the season to pad his points lead!
Mr. Excitement Ron Laughman was 2nd with Keliloh Michaels 3rd.
Zimmerman then was given the heat win with Laughman 2nd.
Here, by the way is the rule which Foul violated:
TIRES AND WHEELS-Any 65,70, 75 or 80 Series, 195 or smaller D.O.T. Radial tire. Any 75 Series, 215 or smaller D.O.T.
Radial tire. NO Recaps, Hoosier, McCreary, or aftermarket “made for racing” tires, even if D.O.T.approved, are allowed.NO tire soaking or “compound enhancers” allowed.Steel wheels only. Maximum width of wheels is 7”
Foulk had 6t0 series tires.
Roberts made it 23 feature wins on the season as he also padded his points lead!
Ed Martz was 2nd and Tyler Mead 3rd.
Results were the same in the heat.
The closest feature of the night was in the Hornets where Bakeman, on his first wedding anniversary, won his 2nd feature of the season over Eric Root, David Terry and Scott Binkley.
In the heat it was Bakeman over Binkley and Root. (Yes Scott Binkley we owe you $5 and yes Eric Root you owe us $5 as on the pay-off we had that reversed!)
Longenbaur came to the historic Mottville Speedway for the first time and won the feature over Chad Weber and Anthony Sivits.
In the heat it was Longenbaur over Sivits and Weber.
It was a tough night for the Watson clan as Dawson ran only one heat and was unable to make the feature and David did not run any races!
Dawson Watson now leads Chad Weber by just 59 points with 2 triple points nights left for the karts!
A huge Mottville Speedway thank-you to all who came out despite the weather!
Racing resumes Sunday, September 28 with out first TRIPLE POINTS NIGHT and a LADIES POWDER PUFF!
Gates open at 4:30 PM with racing action at 6 PM!
The track will be open for hot laps TUESDAY AND THURSDAY from 6PM to dark!
Call or message first if you are coming!
Adult admission is $10, ages 12 and under $5, Family Pass (2 adults and unlimited children 12 and under) $25.
Pit Pass is $30 but non-drivers ages 14 and under who are with a non-driving adult can buy a pit pass for just $15!
Great concessions at very reasonable prices!!
